Experimental Monoprinting with Everyday Materials

In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the physical qualities of everyday materials—textures, patterns, opacities, and translucencies—and transfer them onto paper through printmaking. Using a press bed as a "construction site," you'll ink plates, layer materials, and create unique prints. Starting with simple monochrome prints, the workshop will progress to more complex experiments involving tone, color, ghost prints, bleed color, and Chine-collé. With both individual and group critiques, this workshop encourages creative experimentation and the development of imaginative, expansive printmaking techniques.
